High-impact research to change delirium practice
Aims and Scope
Delirium has been described for millennia, but it has only recently emerged as an area considered worthy of systematic research. The International Federation of Delirium Societies now recognise that the field would benefit from a journal dedicated to the subject. Delirium is the preeminent publication that meets this need.
We aim to increase understanding of delirium through the dissemination of original research with the potential to change clinical practice and policy for the ultimate benefit of patients and their families.
We publish the highest-quality research across the entire range of delirium-related studies.
Addressing delirium requires a multi-disciplinary approach, and we encourage submissions from any health and social care discipline.
We consider work from any clinical or research setting as long as the primary focus is delirium. This includes, but will not be restricted to, basic and experimental sciences, population studies, geriatric medicine, psychiatry, neurology, general hospital services, perioperative medicine, palliative care, paediatrics and institutional care.
As an international journal, we particularly support submissions from low- and middle-income countries.
